    Mirrors

Three-channel video & spatial installation, 5 minutes, dimension variable

“Mirrorsare filled with people. The invisible see us. The forgotten recall us. When we see ourselves, we see them. When we turn away, do they?” This is from the beginning of the famous book Mirrors:Stories of Almost Everyone, which rebuilds a history of the world by Eduardo Galeano, an Uruguayan writer. It inspired WangZiyue tocombine performance and reality, and to catch the problems and contradictions of the city through the artistic training of the participants . Based upon the collective anxiety we are undergoing, Mirrorsreflects our life status in this society. The sleep talking will make the viewers detach from reality and enter into a gaze at the Other, a state of collective imagination.
