In this plan to promote young artists to be more proactive in participating in and exploring real-world issues in public domain, each event faces and is expected to solve different problems.

   This exhibition will showcase the six activities that have been completed since April 2012. It also presents the motivation, original intention, progress thinking and final problems of each activity. At the same time, we plan to invite the participated artists have live discussions with the viewers in the exhibition hall.

   It is hoped that such exhibitions and discussion activities will lead to more extensive and in-depth discussion and creation of public life, and then focus on the more complex and diverse social issues.

Discussion theme:

"Nostalgia or forced demolition"? We should pay attention to how people's impression of the demolition ruins in the urbanization are stereotyped; we should pay attention to the ideology behind the creation of demolition theme.

We should be aware of the specific contradictions in the specific circumstances and the possibility of "re-use" of demolition ruins。How to enter the demolition discussion with a complex and deep ideology？ (both against violence and non-consultation,on the one hand, against the collusion of state and capitalism, the complicity of local government and developers, and on the other hand, the understanding of the inevitability of urbanization)...

Through this retrospective exhibition, the academic exchanges and discussions between artists from Hangzhou and Nanjing will be carried out on the above issues.

   在这场旨在推动年轻艺术家更积极主动地参与、探讨公共场域中的现实问题的计划中，每一次活动所面临的和期望解决的问题都不同。

   本次展览在展示自2012年4月始至今已实施完成的六期活动的同时，也会呈现出每一期活动的动机、初衷，进展中的思考以及最后产生的问题，于此同时我们计划的参与艺术家也会在展厅内与观者做相关的现场讨论。

   希望通过这样的展示和讨论活动能引发大家对公共生活进行更加广泛、深入的讨论和创作，继而将目光投向更加复杂与多元的社会问题。

讨论会主题：

“乡愁、怀旧或强拆？”，我们应当关注到人们对城市化发展中拆迁废墟的印象如何被刻板；关注到拆迁主题的创作背后的意识形态。意识到拆迁具体情况下有着具体的矛盾；意识到拆迁废墟“再利用”的可能性。如何秉持复杂且深入的意识形态进入拆迁讨论？（既是反对暴力的、反对非协商的，一方面对国家和资本主义的合谋，地方政府和开 发商的同谋的反抗，另一方面是对城市化建设必然性的理解）…通过此次的回顾展，就上述问题展开杭州、南京两地艺术家的交流和讨论。
